Company dress codes?

I am going on work experience in a Forensics company next week and I don't know what to wear. I am not sure about the company dress code - in all the pictures on their websites the men are in suits, but I would hardly think a suit was suitable for laboratory or crash-scene work... I don't have time to contact them and ask, so what should I wear? I am a 17 year old girl and the office is in Central London but I may be going to the labs or crime scenes.

Additional Details

When I say that I don't have time, I mean that it is a bank holiday and I can't contact the people there before I start on Tuesday.

Be on the safe side and wear something smart. It is unlikely you will be thrown in at the deep end on your first day. You will get an idea of the dress code when you get there, but if not, you could speak to your manager.

• wear a formal dress, because this is "work". but if u have to go in to a lab u can always wear a lab coat over it.
